Crowns & Bridges
Dental crowns and bridges are two common dental procedures. A crown is used to cover a tooth that is damaged or decayed, while a bridge is used to replace a missing tooth.
at Maitland Dental Care, we construct natural looking, ceramic crowns using CEREC
technology. Bridges, on the other hand, are made with the help of our local dental laboratory. They are made from either porcelain fused to metal, zirconia or ceramic and are used to provide a prosthetic tooth. They are fixed, meaning they are a permanent inclusion in your mouth once they have been cemented in.
Our bridges, on the other hand, are made with zirconia, and are used to secure a prosthetic tooth or teeth. They are fixed, meaning they are a permanent inclusion in your mouth. Bridges are more durable than other restorative materials used in the dental industry.

Dental Implants
Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that are inserted into the jawbone to replace missing natural teeth. Implants are made of titanium, a biocompatible material that fuses with bone to form a stable foundation.
At Maitland Dental Care, we restore dental implants that can be an effective solution for a missing tooth. Once the implant is inserted by an oral maxillofacial surgeon it takes a few months to fuse with the bone. After that, we can restore the implant in a variety of ways, such as crowns, bridges (including All-on-4) or over-dentures, to resolve problems with missing teeth.
